• Nottinghamshire Hawfinch Clumber Park near ornamental bridge + 6 Crossbill

CARSINGTON WATER The drake Green Winged Teal was last seen on 27th Oct and the Garganey on 24th Oct.
CARR VALE DWT RESERVE A female Marsh Harrier on 25/26th Oct which is the latest ever for the reserve. Also 8 Mandarin on 24th Oct the largest flock ever here. A Brambling on 24th Oct with 1 flying South on 30th Oct. Six Crossbills flew South on 26th Oct and 100 Stock Doves present. Six Shovelers on 29th Oct and a Chiffchaff on 29/30th Oct. Three Whooper Swans and 5 Shovelers and a Peregrine on 30tth Oct when 960 Wood Pigeons and 17 Siskins flew south in 90 minutes.
WILLINGTON GP A male Marsh Harrier on 26-30th Oct and 2 Black Tailed Godwits on 27/30thOct.
HIGH HORDISH A Snow Bunting flew through on 26th Oct.
LONG EATON GRAVEL PITS A late Whinchat on 26/30th Oct.
POOLS BROOK COUNTRY PARK 4 Whooper Swans on 30th Oct and a Gannet flew East on 19th Oct.
NETHERTHORPE 5 Crossbills flew south on 28th Oct.
STAUNTON HAROILD RESERVOIR The regular ad. Yellow Legged Gull back on 30/31st Oct and 1st November.
AMBASTON GRAVEL PITS On 26th Oct 1 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 69 Wigeon, 19 Gadwall, 8 Tufted Duck, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 68 Coot, 6 Snipe, 1 Green Woodpecker, 5 Sky Larks, 4 Meadow Pipits and 2 Jays.
ST CHADS WATER On 30th Oct 1 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Cormorant, 23 Tufted Duck.
R.DERWENT, GREAT WILNNE 5 Cormorant on 30th Oct.
CHURCH WILNE RESERVOIR On 30th Oct 5 Little Grebes, 21 Great Crested Grebes, 5 Cormorants, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Gadwall, 9 Pochard, 202 Tufted Duck, 168 Coot and 6 Common Gulls.
ASTON-ON-TRENT GRAVEL PITS On 31st Oct 7 Little Grebes, 9 Great Crested Grebes, 21 Cormorants, 2 Little Egrets, 5 Grey Heron, 50 Wigeon, 5 Gadwall, c75 Teal, 5 Shoveler, 3 Pochard. 71 Tufted Duck, 2 Goldeneye, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Water Rail. 1 Common gull flew West. 137 Lesser Black Backed Gulls including an ad of the “intermedius” race and 3 ad. Yellow Legged Gulls.
LOCKO PARK LAKE On 28th Oct 1 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Cormorants, 1 Grey Heron, c100 Grey Lag Geese, 232 Canada Geese, 2 hybrid Grey Lag x Canada Geese, 1 Jay and 2 Raven. On 1st Nov similar numbers but 2 Grey Herons, c70 Redwing and 3 Fieldfare plus a Raven.
