Thanks to Rod Key for the following:-
OGSTON RESERVOIR A Mediterranean Gull on 11th Oct. On 12th Oct a Bonxie from 1.50-2.40.p.m. before it flew off SW and a juv. Arctic Tern. On 13th Oct 6 Tundra Bean Geese circled the Res from 1.55-2.08 p.m. before leaving to the North where it looked like they landed with the Canada Goose flock but they could not be re-found. Also 8 Whooper Swans early morning before they left to South at 08 52 a.m., 2 Rock Pipits flew North and am imm drake Red Breasted Merganser briefly.
CARSINGTON WATER An imm. Gannet and a drake Common Scoter on 12th Oct with another Bonxie from 10.00-12.00p.m. on 13th Oct when it flew off NE. Also 6 Red Breasted Mergansers briefly, a Whooper Swan and a first winter Little Gull on 13th Oct.
PLEASLEY COLLIERY CP A Bonxie flew NE at 3.30.p.m. on 12th Oct.
FOREMARK RESERVOIR 4 Common Scoters on 12th Oct. On 13th Oct 1 Little Grebe, 22 Great Crested Grebes, 14 Cormorants, 5 Mute Swans, 181 Tufted Duck, 135 Coot and a Grey Wagtail.
DOE HILL LAKE 8 Whooper Swans flew SE early morning on 13th Oct-probably the Ogston flock.
CHESTERFIELD 2 Gannets reported flying over one of the ,local parks on 13th Oct.
LONG EATON A Juv. Gannet flew East at 5.50.p.m. on 13th Oct.
CARR VALE DWT RESERVE 18 Whooper Swans flew NW on 14th Oct.
WILLINGTON GRAVEL PITS A Black Tailed Godwit on 12/14th Oct with a Greenshank on 12th Oct.
