An adult male Peregrine and a Hobby were the pick of the raptors with 9 C. Buzzards and a single Kestrel. 4 Gadwall, 2 Mandarins, male Tawny Owl calling from the sailing club, 2 Common and in the afternoon a single Arctic Tern. The airspace over the reservoir was full of birds with c500 Swifts, c1000 Swallows, c300 House Martins and c20 Sand Martins. All the usual warblers though the Grasshopper Warbler has been quiet for several days now.
