13th April, 2 Wheatears at High Edge on lane south of Harpur Hill, Derbyshire at SK064693, seen in the field next to the cattle grid. Another Wheatear seen further east on the same lane beneath Upper Edge.

FOREMARK RESERVOIR A drake Ring Necked Duck was found at 6.10.p.m. on 12th Apr by Keith Lyon close in to the dam wall past the draw off tower. It was looked for this morning-13th Apr-extensively by 2 observers but it could not be found. The 11th county record and a one day/one observer bird. Only things present on 13th Apr were 12 Great Crested Grebes, 6 Cormorants, 10 Tufted Duck, 1 Common Buzzard, 4 Red Legged Partridge, c40 Great Black Backed Gulls, 2 Stock Doves, 3 Sand Martins, 1 Swallow, c25 Redwing and 1 Chiffchaff.

CARSINGTON WATER A Sandwich Tern early morning on 13th Apr.

OGSTON RESERVOIR The 3 1st winter Little Gulls still present on 13th Apr and also an Arctic Tern and a Tree Pipit

CHESTERFIELD 25 Waxwings on 12th Apr.

DRAKELOW DWT RESERVE A belated report of an Adult Caspian Gull and a Ring Ouzel on 11th Apr.

WILLINGTON GRAVEL PITS Both single Blackcaps and Willow Warblers on 12th Apr.
