3 x 1stw Little Gulls accompanied by an Arctic Tern were the main highlights. Also a Tree Pipit flew north @ 0740 on a more spring-like morning with 3 Willow Warblers, 8 Chiffchaffs and a female Blackcap along the west bank. Hirundines were prevalent but again just a single House Martin. Ducks included 2 Gadwall and 6 Goldeneye while shorebirds were represented by a handful of Lapwings and Snipe, 3 Oystercatchers, 2 LRPlovers and 2 Curlews thru’. Rapidly rising water levels over the last couple of days have quickly reduced Ogston’s attraction to wading birds, temporarily at least.
