Friday 12th April 2013

Thick fog hampered viewing conditions all morning but when it finally cleared yesterday’s 3 Little Gulls were still present and showed well though distantly for the rest of the day. 2 apparently fly-through Rock Pipits @1050 were later seen again over the car park so must have been down somewhere, they’re almost always difficult to see well here. The first House Martin of the year was seen alongside a few Sand Martins and Swallows plus 2 Wigeon, 4 Gadwall, 1 Ringed Plover and a trickle of c20 Meadow Pipits north.
